Inspiring Views Artisan Homestead is a charming retreat set on a 100-acres close to the regional city of Wodonga, in Victoria’s North East. The homestead and gardens have been lovingly created by artist owner and host, Margaret, using reclaimed timber, iron, and stone. Many historical architectural church features bless the homestead with its unique character and charm.

Perched happily alone high on a hill, this stunning property offers 360 degree views of mountains, rolling hills and valleys. Enjoy uninterrupted  panoramic sunsets and sunrises, misty vistas, and the twinkling night lights of Albury/Wodonga below.

The rambling gardens of the two-acre home paddock host a busy chook house, delightful tree swings, a pond, wildlife galore, over 100 hand-crafted sculptures and a collection of quirky outbuildings to explore.

The homestead itself offers relaxing luxury and quiet privacy just 10 minutes from city conveniences and cafes, restaurants and nightlife. Those seeking creative inspiration will enjoy a multitude of gorgeous places to sit, relax, paint, create, or meditate to the sound of rustling leaves, the hum of bees, the whispering breeze and the still serenity.

Enjoy the natural beauty of the garden: perhaps partaking in some food and drink as you take in the views, the bird song, and quiet spaces. But how to choose the best spot? A giant natural granite rock table surrounded by wooden benches may attract your interest, or bench swings, hand-crafted iron and wood sculptured benches, or a sunken semi-circular stone walled entertainment area with table, fire pit and bench seating, to name a few. In cooler weather, snuggle into the comfy benches and dining settings under the verandas. Or enter the cute, rustic, stone and timber Chapel with a glass enclosed under-cover dining area and kitchenette. Whatever the weather, you’ll find a sunny spot or sheltered nook that is “just right”!

Inspiring Views was designed purely to enjoy the area’s serenity and natural beauty, away from city noise and pollution. Free WiFi, TV and a large collection of interesting books, puzzles and games are provided for your entertainment. Or undertake the Garden Sculpture Hunt and discover the 100 plus handcrafted artworks dotted along the meandering paths. Watch the free-range chickens potter about their daily activities; walk the scenic Spring Gully ridge line; or play with our stunt kites. Cows and sheep graze in nearby paddocks, kangaroos bound by, eagles and falcons soar, echidnas amble, and birds line up for a feed in correct pecking order! At night, find possums, micro bats and owls by moon or torchlight. Be mesmerised by the sparkling night lights of the twin cities below, or turn around to marvel at the stunning night skyscape with it’s millions of twinkling stars.

These are memory-making environs, but if you wish to ensure you never forget, there are endless photographic opportunities here for the taking.
